Rivervale Barn wedding photography in Yateley
By nealejames | July 16, 2009
Solid day today spent at Rivervale Barn in Yateley shooting test and stock images for this stunning new wedding venue set on the banks of the Blackwater, approximately one hour from the smoke. It’s one of the most incredible barn projects I have ever seen but don’t just take my word for it, take a peak at the images below. (65,000 reclaimed tiles by the way, now THAT takes some laying.) Owned by John and Moyra Illsley, they’ll also be your hosts for the showround if you visit. I think meeting the owners creates a special relationship when planning a wedding, without doubt. By the way, if you’re wondering who the mystery bride is, it’s Nat, our new recruit at Breathe Pictures! She recently joined the company to fulfil a retouching and photographic assisting role. Dressing you up as a bride for some test shots at Rivervale Barn may have seemed a strange initiation Nat, but I think you rose to that challenge well! (Flowers courtesy Cherubs of Reading and bridal wear from Jennies, as featured on recommended links.)

That will teach me!
Neale, your photos are so fabulous I tend to look at them before I read your words on this blog… So when I merrily scrolled down and was admiring this breathtaking venue that Breathe had been taking, I suddenly thought: “Where is everyone? Why is this lovely bride by herself?”
My creative mind raced off and suddenly I was thinking she looked a little wistful in that last penultimate shot – had no-one turned up for her big day at such an amazing venue?
No. Read the words and all is revealed that you were just on top of your marketing and had been using your able assistant for some promo shots!
Who would have thought the words on your amazing photographic blog could be so important? As a wordsmith I am a little reassured!
Keep up the awesome work! We’re still making use of the portfolio you did for Morgan PR two or three times weekly with the demands of the blog and social media.

Why thank you Nigel! And yes indeed, it’s Nat our new assistant. I did think of asking you to don your suit for the day and be a groom, but I wasn’t sure Diane would approve!

We’re chuckling here and Diane says absolutely no problem for next time! Actually she was almost too keen!
Just shout if you need help!
