February’s image of the month

I really enjoyed photographing Breathe’s image of the month, partly because it shows what you can do with a pile of junk as a backdrop, but mainly because Keira, our model, just looks completely lost and at one with herself. It’s supposed to be about weddings and romance - and that’s the emotion I hope comes across. There’s a touch of Jane Eyre about this picture, well for me anyway. We were styling wedding clothes and accessories, amongst other items that session. For sure there has been an element of retouching and colour treatment, but in essence the lighting used was exceptionally minimal; one Elinchrom flash head and fill from natural ambient light. I love the soft nature of this picture.
