The seat of power
By nealejames | November 5, 2006
This is one of my favourite images from the Best of Newbury exhibition, mainly because it took me the best part of a year to persuade my local plumber Keith Durham to do it! I’m not sure you can perfectly see in a 150 pixel square image that Keith’s sitting on the throne, enjoying his morning ciggy, whilst reading about England’s soccer match woes, but that’s what’s happening here. In the large picture, there’sĀ lots of detail; a cup of tea going cold, a glue gun hanging from the cistern andĀ peeling wallpaper. Thanks Keith for being a sport, eventually.
