Lord and Lady Carnarvon

By nealejames | August 4, 2006

The lastest addition to our growing portfolio of portraits for the forthcoming Best of Newbury exhibition took a stately direction yesterday when we photographed the 8th Earl and Countess of Carnarvon at their home. Highclere Castle, makes for a stunning backdrop, although we ventured inside to utilise the sumptuous library for Lord and Lady Carnarvon’s portrait. There are nearly 6,000 historically important volumes in the library and some incredibly important artifacts, including a table and chair designed for and used by Napoleon Bonaparte, which I almost used as a resting spot for the monitor screen and laptop. You’ll be pleased to read Your Lordship, that I spotted the significant museum piece just in time.
